In September 2014, Suzhou Higher Vocational and Technical School officially established the Sino-German Vocational and Technical Training Center. The center is positioned as "located in the high-tech zone, serving the high-tech zone, and integrated into the high-tech zone". The goal is to realize the "one mind and five modernizations" of local vocational education by introducing and learning from the advanced concepts and standards of German vocational education, that is, "to cultivate an international perspective Centering on high-level skilled talents, we will realize the systematization of teaching content, the internationalization of teaching standards, the standardization of teaching management, the humanization of teaching methods, and the standardization of teaching quality."

At present, the training center mainly trains professionals in mechatronics and numerical control technology. At the same time, the center is also a training and examination center certified by the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) and the German Federation of Handicrafts (HWK). While focusing on high-quality education on one hand, the center also focuses on high-quality employment on the other hand, striving to find suitable positions for talents to achieve a seamless connection between high-quality education and high-quality employment.
